We met Angelina in The National Wedding Show. She came by herself because her fiance was too busy because of job. At that time, she has just moved to London from Australia for a few months. A week after the show, we had a conversation on the phone. Since then, we walked on a journey with this bride-to-be and groom-to-be.
Angelina and I (Tina, the main photographer & hair and makeup artist of the day) went to Wimbledon for meeting and bridal dress appointment. Still remember she held up the phone and showed Tina the wedding venue – Tenuta La Borriana, a wine yard in Carmignano (A place near Florence in Tuscany), Italy. She is a bride with style. Before engagement shoot, she already has a list of photos she would like to get, quite bright, soft and sweet with a touch of elegance.
Most of the time we can see what people like in photography by looking at the things they like. Furla is the brand she goes to when choosing handbag. For wine, she picks Antinori Marchesi Chianti Riserva. And we would say, Italy is the best backdrop for their big day – feeling of leisure, beautiful scene, quality produces, the warmth of the sun… Starting from their wedding, we have built our love to Tuscany red wine.
Angelina and Brian (the groom) are very good at choosing wine! From the speech of the father of the bride, we learned that Brian is very into fine dining. They are just the perfect match for each other. Another thing which matched them up is Manchester United. They both love the same team! We couldn’t stop laughing when we heard the groom speech about their love of Manchester United. And we still couldn’t stop laughing when we were editing their wedding video.
We took their engagement shoot in South Kensington, London, with the pastel candy colour buildings, wine shop and Hyde Park. It was lovely! Before the shoot, we did Angelina’s hair and makeup trial, so she can see how her makeup looks on photographs.
